Mobile bookings are the fastest growing segment in travel today. This year, more than 20 million consumers are expected to book travel on smartphones, according to eMarketer. That’s a 150% increase from 2010. This growth shows no sign of slowing.
Using Marchex technology, more than 15,000 phone calls placed to national call center and hotel properties from mobile and desktop ad campaigns were analyzed to better understand mobile travelers. This technology scans for key words, providing insights about consumer behavior that can help businesses modify and/or implement best practices.
The analysis found:
